Description:
a) Left part (spine label, 30 mm. wide): call numbers.
b) Right part: barcode, title, author, collection.
Use:
Multifunctional label for:
1) Video spine (VHS video cassette).
2) Books and similar media, as multi part label:
a) Left part (spine label, call numbers): separate from right part with
scissors, attach to media with transparent tape for protection.
b) Right part (barcode): attach to media on location where expected for
scanning. Practical for books is upper side of inside cover because this
eliminates need for protection and upper side usually is close to barcode
scanner when book is placed on circulation desk. Inkjet printed labels
however, probably should be protected.
Note:
Customized version of default layout from OpenBiblio 0.6.0 file release.
Barcode dimensions optimized for reliable scanning results, tested
successfully with low-resolution inkjet printer.
